CASE STUDY

Café Verde

Café Verde is a new café and coffee shop opening up in the lobby of 225 W Wacker, along the river in downtown Chicago!

Created with the wonderful folks at Torque, the name was inspired by the green marble adorning the building’s lobby.

Designer Margeaux Loeb concepted and designed the initial logo, elongating the curve in the ‘r’ to mimic the bend in the Chicago river around the café’s location.

I provided art direction on the first draft of the logo, and eventually stepped into the design role on the project to define the color palette, polish details, make revisions, and provide ready-to-use files to the client team, along with a set of brand guidelines.
